Frequently Asked Questions

We currently rent 3 types of scooters: 

  1. Travelers (Light Weight) - weight capacity 300 lbs, easy to transport, weighs approx. 75 lbs., fits in most cars, passenger max speed 3 mph, operating range 8 miles**.  
  2. Heavy Duty - weight capacity 400lbs, max speed 3.3 mph, operating range 10.5 miles** Scooter weighs approx. 135 lbs. breaks down into 5 pieces to fit in  most cars.
  3. Pride Maxima - weight capacity 500lbs, max speed 5.8 mph, operating range 10.5 miles** Scooter weighs approx. 135 lbs.

We have 3 and 4 wheel scooters in all types.  

Three or Four wheel scooters are not guaranteed and scooters are subject to availability on the rental pick-up, or delivery date. We are unable to guarantee a specific make, model, or color of scooters; however, we do guarantee that the class (size) of scooter rental reserved will be available. If for some reason, we can’t give you the exact reserved scooter, Harris Affordable Mobility will make sure you’ll have the same class or better. This WILL NOT AFFECT the rental price.

**Battery range is estimated at 200 lbs. and will vary due to rider weight, drive surface, and terrain


We provide delivery and pick up inside Franklin County: 

  • Your Home
  • Convention Centers
  • Hotels
  • Festivals /Events
  • Colleges and Universities   
  • Parades
  • Airports 
  • Shopping Malls

**We deliver to surrounding counties for an additional fee. 


If you are experiencing difficulties with your scooter you can send a text first with 911 to (614) 585-9112, if no reply, please call (614) 989-4065. We will first try to troubleshoot the problem. If that is unsuccessful, we will send a driver to you with a replacement scooter. To avoid the battery running out, please check the battery gage from time to time to help maintain a working charge.

SCOOTERS CANNOT GET WET, IF THEY GET WET THEY WILL NOT WORK AND WILL NEED TO SIT AND DRY BEFORE USE.


As early as possible. While we make every effort to accommodate our clients with Harris Affordable Mobility, it is our strong recommendation that reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance or as early as possible. Holidays, spring and summer breaks and seasonal conventions are very busy times.
